Abstract

La transformation des modalités de conception des produits tend à brouiller les frontières des organisations par la multiplicité des contacts interpersonnels qu'elle engendre. Cette interpénétration des organisations (IO) à propos de la conception du produit et des composants peut prendre des formes plus ou moins élaborées. On se propose dans un premier temps de repérer ces différentes formes au sein du "champ de la sous-traitance", élaboré par B. Billaudot en 2002. On s'intéresse par la suite à la forme la plus élaborée d'IO, se retrouvant essentiellement dans l'industrie automobile : le plateau de conception (ou "plateau-projet"). On s'intéresse alors aux raisons qui ont présidé à l'émergence de cette nouvelle forme organisationnelle afin d'en proposer une compréhension théorique "historicisée".
