Debolezza ed eccellenza scolastiche : un indice dell'equità dei sistemi educativi

Abstract

Sophie Morlaix esemplifia come si puo calcolare un indice d'equità scolastica. L'esercizio svolto da Sophie Morlaix ha prodotto un indicatore sulla falsariga di quello messo a punto dal premio Nobel per l'economia Amartya Sen per misurare il grado di povertà. Morlaix ha applicato il modello di Sen ai dati prodotti dall'indagine PISA sulle cometenze dei quindicenni nella comprensione della lettura, della matematica e del sapere scientifico. In questo breve capitolo si dimostra come si possano fare parlare i dati in modo che rivelino aspetti non afferrabili a prima vista, come è il caso dell'equità dell'istruzione che si puo far emergere, almeno per ora, solo con misure indirette.
