Abstract

Esta investigación se desarrolló en una Municipalidad del Gran Buenos Aires, principalmente en el transcurso del segundo semestre de 1987. Las principales referencias teóricas utilizadas en estas páginas son la antropología política de Georges Balandier y la "microfísica del poder" de Michel Foucault. Este libro está dedicado al estudio del ejercicio del poder en una Municipalidad del Gran Buenos Aires. Examina el funcionamiento politico del Gobierno Municipal (alianzas, elección del Ejecutivo y el Legislativo, valores invocados para legitimar a la conducción, etc.), a fin de dar cuerpo a los remanidos conceptos del discurso politico. A un nivel más especifico, para tener en cuenta tanto la organización informal como la formai, investira los hechos básicos de la vida laboral en una Dirección del Municipio. La articulación de los diferentes nivelées de la investigación conduce a una visión global de los poderes queoperan en esa administración municipal, e introduce una perspectiva de análisis antropológico de las organizaciones de la sociedad moderna.
