Modèle d'équilibre général calculable appliqué à la Roumanie

Abstract

L'objectif de cet article est d'étudier l'impact de la libéralisation commerciale de la Roumanie avec l'Union européenne (résultant de son adhésion prévue en 2007) sur la croissance économique, la balance commerciale et le bien-être. Un Modèle d'Equilibre Général Calculable (MEGC) est utilisé afin de caractériser l'économie et simuler diverses politiques économiques. Le résultat principal de cet article montre que la libéralisation commerciale toute seule détériorerait la croissance économique et le niveau de bien-être. Notre conclusion est que la libéralisation devrait être accompagnée d'une politique de stabilisation des prix afin d'atténuer les impacts négatifs sur la croissance économique et d'augmenter le niveau de bien-être.
