Abstract

La notion d'employabilité a émergé au départ dans les discours des pouvoirs publics avant de s'imposer dans ceux des organisations. Elle recouvre différentes facettes qui abordent à la fois les questions de l'emploi, du chômage et des transitions professionnelles. Cet article synthétise dans un premier temps l'évolution historique de la notion d'employabilité puis aborde la complexité de sa mesure en comparant deux instruments issus de dispositifs organisationnels et d'indicateurs en gestion des ressources humaines. Cette analyse historique et comparative vise à détailler à la fois les dimensions requises pour mesurer l'employabilité et la déployer au mieux au sein des organisations. La recherche s'appuie sur l'étude de données secondaires issues des documents relatifs à l'élaboration de ces instruments de mesure de l'employabilité. Plus de vingt années séparent ces deux instruments de mesure, pour autant ils présentent un certain nombre de similitudes. L'étude consiste à détailler les caractéristiques de chaque instrument de mesure, puis de proposer une grille d'analyse afin de pouvoir les comparer. Elle contribue à la réflexion actuelle sur la pertinence et les modalités à retenir pour mesurer et développer l'employabilité des seniors.
