Abstract

Cet article traite la question suivante : comment les femmes construisent-elles une légitimité sociale au cours du processus de transmission des entreprises familiales ? La littérature existante sur la légitimité et le genre au cours du processus de succession se concentre soit sur le rôle des filles successeurs, soit sur leurs réseaux qui rendent la légitimité de ces filles active et validée. Cette séparation entre ces deux mondes favorise un dualisme dans la conceptualisation de la relation entre les filles successeurs et les différentes parties prenantes. A partir de la Strong Structuration Theory et étude de cinq qui met en avant les interactions et les relations réciproques entre les filles successeurs et les différentes structures sociales. Les résultats de cette recherche mettent en exergue les actions entreprises par les filles successeurs afin influencer, reproduire et modifier les structures sociales existantes tout au long du processus de construction de leur légitimité dans le cadre d'une dualité.
