Abstract

This work is intended for researchers and professionals. It offers both a synthetic assessment of social science research on medico-social, an overall reflection on its contemporary transformations and insight into the major questions facing it today. The book sets out and sheds light on the theoretical and conceptual debates in the social sciences around a series of key issues, from the organization of support work to the issue of care, from transformations of professionalism to questions of regulation. , normalization or quantification.
