La gestion de l’ouverture avec les plateformes multifaces

Abstract

Ce chapitre pose précisément le contexte d'ouverture en traitant des frontières organisationnelles dans le contexte de plateformes multifaces. Plus particulièrement, Guy Parmentier montre que les plateformes multifaces sont un moyen de gestion pertinent des frontières pour développer des capacités créatives, notamment puisqu'elles permettent de contrôler les ressources stratégiques créatrices de valeur. Les plateformes multifaces sont également un espace pertinent favorisant le développement de capacités créatives dans la mesure où l'ouverture qu'elle porte favorise les effets de réseaux : elle permet plus de création de contenus et services de qualité, d'attirer de nouveaux utilisateurs, etc. Comme l'indique l'auteur, il s'agit également de « verrouiller » des utilisateurs grâce à des monnaies virtuelles, à la réputation acquise et aux apprentissages réalisés induisant de forts coûts de changements pour migrer vers d'autres plateformes. Au travers de divers exemples de plateformes multifaces, Guy Parmentier indique la manière dont ces dernières peuvent affecter l'ensemble des dimensions constitutives de la capacité créative : socialisation interne des idées, équipement créatif, ouverture externe, agilité organisationnelle et gestion des idées, grâce à une approche par les frontières organisationnelles.
