Abstract

Une recherche compréhensive (qualitative) peut se faire sous la forme d'une recherche-action, d'observation (participante ou non), ou d'une série d'entretiens. Mais les organisations (entreprises, hôpitaux, associations, écosystèmes, administrations) émettent, traitent, font circuler une montagne de documents. Il apparaîtrait surprenant qu'une recherche compréhensive n'analyse pas de documents, sous la forme d'une série de données à confronter aux autres séries (journal de recherche, comptes rendus d 'entretiens, notes d'observation -Dumez, 2016 ; 2021). Ce livre vient combler un quasi-vide méthodologique en la matière (Asdal & Reinertsen, 2022). Les documents sont en effet partout, et constituent, sans doute aucun, l'une des caractéristiques centrales des sociétés modernes en organisant la quasi-totalité de nos actions.
