Abstract

La bascule a déjà commencé. En Californie, certaines zones sont abandonnées par les assureurs. En France, sécheresse, tempêtes et inondations menacent également l'assurabilité de certains risques. Ces phénomènes, parmi d'autres, mettent en évidence la nécessité d'engager une transition vers une société post-croissance, c'est-à-dire une société qui subordonne ses objectifs économiques au respect des limites planétaires et des besoins sociaux fondamentaux. Comment agir ? Agir pour préserver l'assurabilité des biens et des activités, agir aussi pour permettre à l'assurance de jouer un rôle déterminant dans la transition à mener. Des initiatives existent déjà. Elles relèvent de la prévention, de l'adaptation ou de la régénération… Ces actions, innovantes, peuvent en inspirer d'autres, et leur généralisation contribuer activement à la transition.
