6. Entre spontanéité et contrôle : ce que Hayek se refusait à penser

Abstract

Cet article traite de deux auteurs, inconnus l'un de l'autre, influencés par le paradigme cybernétique : F.A. Hayek et J.R. Beniger. Les deux auteurs utilisent la cybernétique pour décrire deux dimensions complémentaires des ordres économiques complexes : leur dimension spontanée et marchande, et leur dimension construite et technologique. Nous montrons alors que le modèle hayekien, au contraire de celui de Beniger, aborde ces deux dimensions comme deux systèmes économiques exclusifs, et qu'il néglige la question de leur articulation empirique. C'est en ce sens que nous proposons de révéler un impensé du modèle hayekien par la pensée de Beniger.
