Abstract

This study has been the first academic paper of the continuing research project "Innovative Ecosystem of Lille Region" supported by the "Regional Council" in Lille. This project is based on the roles of three main actors in the innovative development of Lille's Metropole and its region: Competitive Actors, Startups and Creative, Innovative and Collaborative Spaces, namely open labs (Maker spaces, fablabs, coworking spaces etc.). This study came out following the interviews in maker spaces and it is based on the role of material artifacts and multi-spaces in networks of innovation.
