Abstract

Ce chapitre reprend les éléments de Heyer et Timbeau [2024]. Il ne tient donc pas compte des résultats des élections législatives de juin-juillet 2024 et de leurs conséquences potentielles sur le scénario de prévision pour l'économie française. Si la France a évité la récession au second semestre 2023, il n'en reste pas moins que le produit intérieur brut (PIB) a connu une croissance modeste sur cette période, et ce malgré le fort reflux du prix des matières premières énergétiques et la baisse de l'inflation. Malgré tout, l'écart de progression du PIB avec la zone euro depuis le début des crises s'est effacé (graphique 1) au cours de la dernière année, la croissance de la France affichant, en glissement annuel, 1,2 % quand celle de la zone euro n'était que de 0,1 %.
