This paper focuses on the relationship between exchange rates, openness and economic growth in the DRC. Its objectives are to identify the influence of the exchange rate on external openness and that of openness on economic growth in the DRC during the period from 1990 to 2020. The econometric method made possible thanks to the documentary technique and the VAR model made it possible to achieve these objectives. In short, it follows from the analyzes that the exchange rate policy applied in the DRC to increase openness is not effective and the policy of openness used in the DRC to increase economic growth is not effective over the entire period. period under study in the DRC
