Abstract

Cet ouvrage croise les regards de chercheurs et de nombreux professionnels qui exercent au sein des hôpitaux : soignants et gestionnaires, personnels de terrain et dirigeants. Il propose des transformations politiques, stratégiques, organisationnelles et épistémologiques pour notre système hospitalier. Comment les hôpitaux placés en première ligne peuvent-ils s'organiser de manière souple, réactive et selon un principe de subsidiarité pour affronter les crises à venir, en dépit de leur environnement hyper-règlementé et centralisé ? Quelle place donner aux patients et à leurs proches dans cette organisation innovante ? De quelle manière les outils de préparation aux crises diffusés par l'Organisation mondiale de la santé peuvent-ils être des atouts pour nos hôpitaux ? Dans l'environnement complexe de la santé, comment articuler la gestion des risques et l'appréhension de l'incertitude pour mieux affronter les prochaines crises ? Les réponses apportées ont toutes émergé d'un vaste projet de recherche pluridisciplinaire, conduit auprès de quatre centres hospitaliers universitaires réunissant à eux seuls près de 51 000 professionnels.
