Shaka Ponk's decision to stop the band for ecological reasons illustrates the environmental impasse in which contemporary music finds itself. Despite the recent proliferation of "green" initiatives, the sector is still dominated by a model that causes significant socio-environmental degradation. But alternative experiments are emerging...
