The development of mountain areas in Tizi-Ouzou and Grenoble

Abstract

Nous comparons la dynamique de développement territorial de la wilaya de Tizi-Ouzou en Algérie à celle du département de l'Isère en France afin de montrer comment la structuration du territoire produit des effets différenciés sur l'aménagement de l'espace. La comparaison de ces deux territoires situés dans deux pays de niveaux de développement différents mais de populations équivalentes permet tout d'abord de montrer que les politiques d'aménagement des espaces montagneux sont mues par des logiques de développement propres au territoire sur lequel elles sont définies et mises en place. Elle permet ensuite d'indiquer qu'au-delà de leurs caractéristiques propres, ces territoires adoptent des stratégies communes de territorialisation fondées sur la mobilisation de ressources spécifiques qui mettent en valeur les villes de montagne.
