Abstract

This article aims to deepen our comprehension of the involved variables and refine our conceptual model. Additionally, it will develop measurement instruments to evaluate the different constructs of our model, particularly focusing on the impact of digital transformation on the organizational performance of industrial companies. This model is based on the IT Business Value model developed by (Melville and al., 2004). Moreover, our conceptual model comprises seven constructs: digital resources, complementary resources, digital transformation, business processes, process performance, and organizational performance. Furthermore, the measurement scales will be derived from two primary sources: firstly, through a literature review, and secondly, through an exploratory qualitative study conducted via interviews with professionals from 14 industrial companies in the manufacturing sector.
