Abstract

The European Economic Association (EEA) is an International scientific body that promotes the development of economic science throughout Europe, as well as communication between teachers, researchers and students, the links between university and research centers and relations between theoretical economists and policy-oriented economists. The EEA Annual Congress, which takes place at the end of August, is a main event among the Association's activities.Annual congresses feature traditionally two plenary lectures, in addition to the Presidential Address, and consist of a number of invited sessions and panel debates as well as contributed papers sessions. Since 2003, the EEA congress has been held jointly with the Econometric Society.The last Paper and Proceeding Issue was published after the 2009 congress.The Econometric Society is an international society for the advancement of economic theory in its relation to statistics and mathematics.
