Abstract

La innovación es un tema de actualidad en las Ciencias de Gestión y en la Sociedad en general. Sea cual sea el tipo de innovación, impactos o condiciones de realización, se desprende un consenso según el cual la innovación representa un medio para garantizar el desarrollo de la organización (pública, privada o asociativa). La innovación se estudia en un gran número de estructuras pero en cambio hay pocos libros que tratan el tema de la innovación en los consultorios médicos. Esta ponencia presenta una investigación realizada en una estructura organizacional poco abordada en la literatura de Ciencias de Gestión. De hecho, el funcionamiento de los consultorios médicos y las características específicas del médico de ciudad se estudian en Derecho y en Sociología, pero escasamente es un tema de investigación en gestión. Ahora bien, ¿cómo se construye la innovación en los consultorios médicos? Esta ponencia, basada en una investigación-intervención, presenta el proceso de innovación adoptado por un consultorio de cardiología, sus principales resultados y sus límites.
