Abstract

EU Regulations for Electric Vehicle Batteries toward Circular Economy This study analyzes the Circular Economy (CE) evolution within the EU's regulatory framework, focusing on Electric Vehicle Lithium-Ion Batteries (EV-LIBs). It reviews CE-related policies, especially Regulation (EU) 2023/1542, addressing sustainable management of EV-LIBs. Key roles of industry stakeholders, challenges, and innovations in EV-LIBs sector are examined, highlighting Research and Development's role in sustainable technology and lifecycle management. The importance of stakeholder collaboration in advancing CE principles is also emphasized, contributing to discussions on environmental policy and sustainable manufacturing.
