Abstract

Le commerce et la consommation de produits psychoactifs ne sont pas nouveaux en Afrique, et marquent d'une manière ou d'une autre le quotidien de nombreuses populations. Ce dossier interroge les évolutions de l'économie politique des drogues sur le continent, tout en saisissant les expériences concrètes de commerçants et de consommateurs, leurs sociabilités et leurs pratiques. Une attention particulière est portée aux frontières toujours changeantes entre le licite et l'illicite, ce qui soulève en même temps la question des risques et les opportunités offertes par la drogue. En s'intéressant ainsi aux variations de légitimité et de légalité des pratiques au niveau local, il s'agit aussi d'interroger les récits internationaux sur les drogues et le crime organisé à l'aune des vécus de commerçants et de consommateurs, tout en montrant comment ces deux champs coexistent et s'utilisent l'un l'autre.
