Abstract

"Depuis une quinzaine d'années, la question des relations existant entre l'autorité et les dispositifs de gestion des salariés est abordée par plusieurs observateurs des changements intra-firme. Cet article cherche à éclairer cette question à la lumière d'une grille d'analyse économique. Partant des apports des théories contractualistes appliquées à la gestion des ressources humaines, nous étudions comment ces approches rendent compte des dispositifs de gestion des salariés et de leur articulation avec l'autorité. En réaction à certaines de leurs limites, nous proposons un cadre d'analyse mettant en valeur l'ambivalence fondamentale des relations entre autorité et dispositifs de gestion des salariés. Ce cadre permet d'enrichir d'un point de vue économique certains débats actuels sur l'autorité intra-firme."
