Les approches déployées pour renforcer l'attractivité des métiers de la fonction publique, notamment en direction des enseignants, « occultent l'importance des valeurs et motivations spécifiques des agents publics », estime Pauline Colin, enseignante-chercheuse en sciences de gestion, le 11/07/2024. Elle évoque avec notre chroniqueur Romain Pierronnet ses travaux sur la « motivation de service public ».
