Abstract

This conceptual research seeks to examine the spatial, temporal and cognitive reframing of wellbeing generated by digital technologies in the context of working ubiquitously. For this purpose, it advances an analytical model and five research propositions by introducing a dynamic triptych perspective, which has been elaborated by my previous work on the digital transition of management attributes (Peng, 2023), into the research on well-being in the context of working ubiquitously. Its theoretical findings extend existing knowledge on wellbeing at work by including emerging forms of working driven by digital technologies and emphasize the necessity of incorporating the societal consideration in the research on wellbeing at work. The five research propositions induce potential paths for empirical exploration and studies.
