Abstract

Cooperative Engagement Capability is the doctrinal aspect of the second stage in the digitization of French land forces, corresponding to infovalorization. Even if all stakeholders agree that it is not reducible to its technological dimension alone, we nevertheless note that the integration of increasingly automated platforms on the battlefield is creating tensions around the place of artificial intelligence (AI) in infocentric military operations. As such, our text offers a synthesis of some of the most recent technological and doctrinal advances in collaborative combat. Our aim is to provide the AIM scientific community with an agenda and several avenues of research designed to support the stakeholders involved in these major developments, which will undoubtedly echo similar debates in the civilian world.
