De l’Art de la guerre à l’Art d’enseigner le management

Abstract

D'ordinaire nous présentons à nos étudiants l'Art de la guerre du général chinois Sun Tzu, comme le plus ancien traité de stratégie. De nombreux auteurs ont cherché à le transposer à des contextes organisationnels non militaires (O'Dowd et Waldron, 1991 ; Yu et Xiuxian, 2012 ; Milevski, 2019) pour formuler des recommandations, notamment en matière de leadership. Si les liens entre guerre et commerce ont été établis depuis longtemps (Jullien, 2014, 2015), l'application de l'Art de la guerre à l'Art d'enseigner à l'université n'a jamais été, à notre connaissance, documentée dans la littérature. C'est dans cette perspective que nous cherchons à opérer un rapprochement entre certains préceptes de Sun Tzu et le concept des biens communs pour repenser notre posture d'enseignant du management et mener nos étudiants à la réussite. Nous avançons l'existence de trois liens : la connaissance de soi et des autres ; l'humain, en tant que ressource à préserver ; la management par le care.
