Abstract

Ce chapitre tire parti de deux expériences de thèse différentes pour discuter de l'anatomie d'un rendu doctoral. Il aborde tout d'abord le choix de la silhouette d'un travail de thèse, entre monographie et thèse par articles, pour ensuite examiner en détails le squelette d'une production de recherche et enfin délier les langues dans un contexte marqué par une hégémonie culturelle anglo-saxonne. En encourageant un processus réflexif autour de ces formats imposés, ce chapitre cherche ainsi à fournir des pistes pour permettre aux doctorantes et doctorants de se positionner par rapport aux canons auxquels elles et ils sont confrontés dès le début de leur aventure doctorale. Questionner ces normes permet de mieux se les approprier, dans un premier temps, afin de trouver ensuite sa voie dans ce vaste champ qu'est la recherche en sciences de gestion. Il existe en effet plusieurs chemins pour faire carrière dans le monde académique : publication d'articles scientifiques en anglais, recherche action auprès d'acteurs locaux, élaboration de manuels pédagogiques à plusieurs mains, participation à des conférences internationales, rédaction d'essais pour partager des idées fortes… Les formes de la recherche sont multiples, chacune suivant ses propres canons de beauté.
