Abstract

This article considers how management researchers can produce truly disruptive management tools in a way that is designed to meet the challenges of the Anthropocene. We present three arguments that concretely allow the transformation of the research process: to redefine problems encountered by actors in demand of the tool by going beyond the needs of the users of the tool including non-users, to integrate theoretical frameworks integrating the systemic and complex dimension of ecology, and finally to change how the action is evaluated through the prism of all the stakeholders (human and non-human) of the earth system.
