Abstract

Cette recherche étudie la diversité religieuse dans le contexte de l'armée au sénégal. En étudiant le processus de régulation du fait religieux au travail (FRT) dans ce contexte, nous montrons qu'il est basé sur des règles plus ou moins explicites. La théorie de la régulation sociale (TRS) a été utilisée comme cadre d'analyse de la gestion du FRT. A l'appui d'une méthode qualitative reposé sur vingt-quatre entretiens semi-structurés conduits auprès de divers personnels militaires confrontés à des incidents religieux, les résultats montrent d'abord une présence du fait religieux dans les services militaires pourtant soumis à l'obligation de réserve. Cette présence est notamment liée à des perceptions divergentes de la règle de contrôle. Ensuite, ils mettent en avant le rôle de la laïcité sénégalaise dans la dynamique des règles. Enfin, ils montrent la dynamique et la mouvance de ces règles dans le processus de régulation du fait religieux, que l'on observe au sein de plusieurs phases de la vie militaire.
