Abstract

L'innovation est devenue une rhétorique centrale en sciences des organisations. Elle est également un concept clé dans le secteur public, prenant souvent la forme de l'innovation managériale. Considéré comme un levier d'amélioration de la performance et de l'efficacité des organisations publiques, l'innovation managériale régit la quasi-totalité des réformes touchant ces organismes. Pour les réformateurs, elle constitue un enjeu majeur dans un monde marqué par de nouveaux rapports de forces et paradigmes sociétaux. Ainsi, différentes innovations managériales sont introduites principalement par le biais de réformes (à part quelques exceptions ou l'innovation est initiée par les organismes publics) avec le but d'aider les organisations publiques à bien réussir leurs nouvelles missions (ou adaptées) à la suite des évolutions socio-économiques et technologiques.
