Les français et la mondialisation: perception et réalité

Abstract

Les Français sont majoritairement hostiles à la mondialisation, alors que l'économie française est très ouverte. Leur inclination protectionniste est régulièrement pointée du doigt dans les médias anglo-saxons. Pourquoi cette spécificité française ? Dans le pays de Montesquieu et de Léon Walras, les économistes ont perdu le débat des idées, la gauche et la droite se retrouvant sur le terrain d'une critique commune du libre -échange. Dans les arguments de ce débat, il y a beaucoup d'incompréhension, de simplification à outrance, et peu de statistiques. On préfère donner la primauté à la Nation, rejeter la science économique de manière générale, et accorder la priorité aux politiques qui réduisent l'inégalité.
