Abstract

There are several relevant studies about the impact of port resources on operational performance or the impact of port supply chain integration and its consequences on port operational performance. So, the purpose of this work is to reconcile this two main categories of research by evaluating the mediating role of the port supply chain integration in the causal relationship between port resources and its operational performance in Côte d'Ivoire context. To achieve this objective, the thesis mobilized, first, the resources based-view amended by more recent research in order to build the conceptual research model. This conceptual model is multilevel. Secondly, on the methodological level, the thesis has based on two main steps in its methodological approach. First of all, it was necessary, in an exploratory approach, to take into account the opinions of the actors in the field by carrying out semi-directed interviews, which made it possible to redevelop the theoretical model resulting from the literature. Then, in a confirmatory approach of the research model, a questionnaire survey of all port stakeholders is carried out and then analysed by the PLS structural equation methods. Principally the results of this research indicate that the port supply chain integration is essential to increase the impact of port resources on its operational performance.
