Abstract

Cette communication explore les spécificités du management d'une unité d'élite de la Police Nationale : le RAID, dans un contexte de très grande insécurité correspondant à une vague d'attentats terroristes sans précédent sur le territoire national français entre 2013 et 2017. Pour JM. Fauvergue, chef du RAID sur la période étudiée, « le RAID est plus comparable au GIGN qu'il ne l'est à la BRI 1 ». Le cadre conceptuel souligne notamment les rôles respectifs d'une part, des émotions dans l'exercice d'un leadership et d'autre part, du leadership transformationnel (Bass, 1990). Le premier montre que les émotions informent sur les besoins et contribuent à prendre des décisions adaptées. Le second met en avant les notions clés de vision, de mission et de valeur. Ces deux directions fortes : prise en compte des émotions et leadership transformationnel caractérisent particulièrement bien le management exercé par le patron du RAID sur cette période.
