Abstract

Behind the various techniques encouraging participative management, there is the underlying idea that we should seek a consensus, an agreement among all the participants around a better solution. But this search for consensus often masks, in reality, a false participation that does not really allow disagreements and conflicts to be expressed. Going against this trend, we borrow the concept of dissensus from the philosopher Jacques Rancière, which designates a moment during which those who are not usually heard (the "voiceless") express themselves. We show in this article that the Lego Serious Play© method promotes the emergence of dissensus moments. A case study shows that the LSP method can, during a workshop, promote the expression of the voiceless, thus participating in a critical and creative approach to management.
