Abstract

L'objectif de cet article est de produire une réflexion sur les canaux à travers lesquels le numérique peut réduire l'offre et la demande de corruption au sein de l'Administration fiscale au Cameroun. À cet effet, nous nous appuyons sur un traitement des données à l'aide des statistiques descriptives, en privilégiant les indicateurs de « perception » pour mesurer la corruption. Les résultats auxquels nous sommes parvenus montrent que, dans la mesure où il (i) simplifie les procédures administratives (via les gains de temps, la réduction des frais de déplacement, la reproduction des documents, etc.), (ii) accroît la transparence et la traçabilité des opérations, (iii) sert de plateforme de dénonciation sans crainte de représailles, (iv) favorise le travail de transversalité ainsi que la mise en réseau des services de l'Etat (notamment entre le fisc et le système judiciaire), le numérique est un puissant outil de lutte contre la corruption.
