Abstract

L'enquête de terrain aborde la recherche en management « autrement ». Elle s'appuie sur une collecte de données réalisée grâce à une immersion sur un lieu défini et suppose la présence du chercheur au sein même du milieu qu'il entend étudier. Les auteurs proposent dans cet ouvrage un cheminement, à la fois rigoureux et accessible, permettant la conduite de ce type de recherche : depuis la préparation de l'accès au terrain, en passant par une réflexion sur les différentes méthodes, la construction de la collaboration in situ, jusqu'à la restitution des résultats. Chaque chapitre s'ouvre sur un cas introductif qui met en scène des jeunes chercheurs aux prises avec différents problèmes propres à cette démarche, et propose des astuces pour en surmonter les écueils. L'ouvrage repose sur une étude intégrée des aspects sociaux et techniques de la gestion, et mobilise à cet effet la notion de dispositif de gestion. Les auteurs s'appuient sur leur pratique ainsi que sur des retours d'expérience de jeunes docteurs en sciences de gestion et du management. Ils puisent aussi plus largement sur des exemples tirés de la littérature.
