Abstract

Cet article explore le rôle du contexte organisationnel dans le développement de la confiance interpersonnelle. Plus précisément, il se focalise sur l'influence des facteurs contextuels de l'organisation de santé sur la confiance du patient envers le médecin. Pour atteindre cet objectif, une étude exploratoire a été menée auprès de cinquante patients avec une collecte de données par entretiens semi-directifs. Les résultats mettent en évidence que le contexte organisationnel de l'établissement de santé peut influencer positivement ou négativement la relation de confiance du patient envers le médecin et ceci, à partir de deux grandes catégories de facteurs contextuels : d'une part, les facteurs relatifs aux locaux et installations techniques de l'organisation de santé et d'autre part, ceux relatifs à son organisation interne et managériale. Cette recherche vient enrichir la littérature sur la confiance interpersonnelle avec des facteurs explicatifs autres qu'individuels. Elle permet d'orienter les pratiques de management des organisations de santé.
