Abstract

Transformer un vin familial en « Château d'Yquem », et faire de ce Sauternes, le symbole même du luxe et l'unique premier cru supérieur dans le classement des vins de Bordeaux opéré en 1855, telle est l'œuvre de Joséphine d'Yquem (1768-1851). Les aléas de la vie l'ont placée, seule, aux commandes du vignoble dans une France de la première moitié du XIXe siècle où la loi ne laissait qu'une place réduite aux femmes dans le monde de l'entreprise. Elle a, non seulement défendu ses terres avec énergie sous la Révolution et développé une production d'excellence, mais aussi fait preuve d'un sens de l'innovation peu commun, pour en faire le symbole même du luxe. https://theconversation.com/josephine-dyquem-femme-entrepreneure-du-xix-siecle-a-lorigine-dun-vin-de-legende-208404
