Abstract

Nous apprenions fin 2022 le décès de Martin Ravallion qui aura marqué de son empreinte l'analyse de la pauvreté dans le monde durant plus de trois décennies. Un hommage, sous forme de table ronde, lui a été rendu durant l'ICDE 2023. François Bourguignon, organisateur de la table ronde, revient avec nous sur la carrière de celui qu'il a nommé comme directeur de la recherche de la Banque mondiale lorsqu'il était lui-même vice-président et économiste en chef de l'institution. L'occasion aussi de parler des évolutions de la discipline et des perspectives futures en matière de pauvreté dans le monde.
