Abstract

Après une première phase où les relations franco vietnamiennes prennent une dimension européenne, l'année 1976 marque un tournant. Suite à la réunification vietnamienne, se pose une série de questions commerciales à l'échelle de la Communauté européenne. La diplomatie française met alors tout en œuvre pour que des conditions favorables, laissant notamment une marge de manœuvre plus conséquente aux États membres, soient mises en place. Ce moment où le consensus européen prime sur les dissensions, est capital puisqu'il constitue un premier fondement qui lance les relations entre l'Europe communautaire et le Việt Nam, et ce, jusqu'aux années 1990. C'est d'ailleurs au moment du Đổi mới, que la France rejoue un rôle important et favorable aux intérêts vietnamiens, en pesant auprès des institutions financières et monétaires internationales. Cette étape clé pour concrétiser le renouveau de la République socialiste du Việt Nam, symbolise les liens forts qui ancrent le partenariat entre Paris et Hà Nội.
