Abstract

En France, l'activité et l'emploi des femmes ont fortement progressé au fil des générations depuis les cohortes nées dans les années 1920, se rapprochant ainsi peu à peu des niveaux masculins. Cette progression a contribué à soutenir l'activité économique et le revenu des ménages. Elle a aussi joué un rôle important pour l'autonomie financière des femmes. Mais cette tendance est-elle encore vérifiée pour les plus jeunes générations ? Le niveau d'emploi des femmes continue-t-il à rattraper celui des hommes ? Utilisant les dernières données disponibles, Henri Martin dresse un panorama de ces évolutions.
