Abstract

This research is positioned in the field of human resources management in the informal sector. Its purpose is to describe and explain the process of building the boss's trust in apprentices. Based on the Grounded Theory (GT), we conducted 17 interviews with the bosses and 11 interviews with the apprentices. The data coding was done with the RQDA software. The results show that the boss confidence in his apprentices in the very small businesses is a process that is built from the recruitment of the apprentice until his release. The boss builds his trust in the apprentice when he develops values such as work, honesty, sincerity, discipline, obedience, respect.
