Abstract

Crée en 1929, Colas est une entreprise qui a rejoint le groupe Bouygues en 1986. Elle est devenue un des leaders mondiaux de la construction et de l'entretien d'infrastructure de transport routier et ferroviaire. En 2020, l'entreprise employait 54 600 collaborateurs et réalisait un chiffre d'affaires de 12,3 milliards d'euros. Depuis sa création, l'activité de recherche et développement est inscrite au cœur des activités du Groupe. L'étude de cas s'intéresse à la route solaire Wattway. Il s'agit d'une innovation qui consiste à intégrer des panneaux solaires dans une route. Le cas ici présenté retrace la construction d'une innovation qui a demandé cinq années de développement. Loin d'aborder les aspects techniques de la construction routière ainsi que ceux de l'énergie solaire, l'étude de cas décrit le processus par lequel l'entreprise est passé pour mener à bien ce projet de route solaire.
