La complémentarité entre contrôle « formel » et contrôle « informel » : le cas de la relation client-fournisseur

Abstract

Cet article a pour objectif de montrer que la complémentarité entre le contrôle formel et le contrôle informel est garante de la cohésion de l'organisation. Sur le plan théorique, cette complémentarité est en effet déterminante du climat de confiance nécessaire à la cohésion. L'application de cette proposition au cas de la relation client-fournisseur interentreprises de long terme, supposée homogène en terme de contrôle informel, permet aux auteurs de formuler deux hypothèses: celle de l'absence de liaison entre la formalisation contractuelle du contrôle et le degré de confiance en vigueur entre les partenaires, et celle de l'effet positif de la réduction du suivi technologique et financier sur le degré de confiance. La discussion des résultats met en avant l'importance d'une réflexion sur les effets de la normalisation d'une part et sur le rôle de l'informel d'autre part.
