Abstract

This paper proposes a diagnosis of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais tourism destination through the Regional Tourism System Model developed by François de Grandpré (2009), with a modification in the partition. This dissertation introduces the notion of Homogeneous Recreational Spaces (ERH), which are smaller than the Homogeneous Tourist Spaces (ETH) of the MTR and aimed at a target more familiar with the territory than outsiders. The author starts from two observations: the first is the lack of a tourism model on a sub-national or even sub-regional scale in the economic literature. The second reflects the fact that, although residents, these potential visitors do not know the destination that forms their usual environment; it is then necessary to implement internal and regional promotion policies, and to maintain a relationship between the resident and his heritage. The last part of this paper proposes an analysis of the competitiveness of destinations, using the TOPSIS multi-criteria decision method, in order to observe the efficiency of the destinations of Nord-Pas-de-Calais
