Abstract

Dans les discours, le programme chinois des Nouvelles routes de la soie converge avec les intérêts de la Russie. Le dynamisme économique chinois génère effectivement une augmentation des volumes de fret qui transitent sur le réseau russe pour gagner l'Europe. Par conséquent, l'ouverture de nouveaux corridors eurasiatiques à travers l'Asie centrale serait complémentaire du Transsibérien. Or l'évolution récente du trafic témoigne plutôt d'un basculement progressif de la complémentarité à la concurrence. En effet, une part croissante des flux de conteneurs en provenance du Japon, de Corée et de Chine se détournent du Transsibérien pour emprunter le Corridor centrasiatique.
