Abstract

Dans cette communication basée sur mon inédit d'HDR (Se libérer de la domination des chiffres, Fayard, 2022), j'explorerai quelques concepts permettant de préciser le rapport entre qualification, quantification et décision. Le propos d'appuiera sur l'analyse d'exemples portant sur les politiques publiques, le fonctionnement de la sphère économique et les règles de la démocratie. On y étayera notamment la différence entre les chiffres et les nombres.
