Abstract

Im September 2004 endet das Universelle Forum der Kulturen, eine von der Unesco organisierte internationale Ausstellung im Stadtteil Diagonal-Besòs im Großraum Barcelona. Im Rahmen eines sehr großen städtischen Projekts und einer kulturellen Ausstellung, die sowohl vergänglich ist als auch die katalanischen Lebenskräfte mobilisiert, schlagen die politischen Behörden Barcelonas einen Mittelweg vor, um auf die Übel der Globalisierung auf ihrem Territorium zu reagieren, indem sie ein originelles städtisches und wirtschaftliches Projekt, das insbesondere seine Küstenfront verändert. Die katalanische Hauptstadt ist ein Beispiel für ihren Wunsch, ihren Meeresraum im Rahmen einer Gesamtüberlegung zu entwickeln, einschließlich der Schaffung einer Entwicklungsagentur für die Verwaltung sehr großer Entwicklungsprojekte, der Barcelona Regional, aber vor allem der Identifizierung einer neuen Strategie Verknüpfung von technologischer Innovation und Geschäftstourismus durch das Angebot innovativer und wertschöpfender architektonischer Lösungen, die mit der nachhaltigen Entwicklung seines Territoriums und attraktiveren Stadtlandschaften verbunden sind.
