Abstract

L'univers de la consommation a été bouleversé jadis par la grande distribution. Il est révolutionné de nouveau par le surgissement des plateformes numériques, ces « places de marché » virtuelles, dont Amazon est la figure emblématique. Elles lui imposent à toute vitesse une nouvelle règle du jeu. C'est une analyse en profondeur de ce modèle inédit, des raisons de sa force, mais aussi des périls de sa dynamique irrésistible que propose Philippe Moati. Il ne se contente pas d'en décortiquer les ressorts et de dégager les motifs de son succès, il examine les voies que pourrait emprunter sa domestication. Comment remédier à ses retombées les plus dangereuses, à commencer par sa tendance à l'établissement de quasi-monopoles ? Existe-t-il pour les marques et les enseignes des alternatives à son emprise ? Comment mener la contre-offensive ? Des questions pressantes pour les années qui viennent (4e de couverture)
